Nike addresses Zion Williamson's shoe malfunction: `We're confident this was an isolated incident'

Nike released a statement addressing Zion Williamson's shoe malfunction on the day the Duke star made his return to the court.

Williamson missed five games after he sprained his knee when his Nike Paul George "PG 2.5" sneakers ripped less than 40 seconds into Duke's first matchup against North Carolina on Feb. 20. The freshman, however, was in the starting lineup for Duke's quarterfinal ACC Tournament game against Syracuse on Thursday.

"We're thrilled to see Zion returning to the court," Nike's statement read, via the Action Network. "After working closely with the Duke Basketball team to examine the issue, we are confident this is an isolated incident.
